Product

Every ad concept, broken down to what makes it work.

Hookmill turns a brand kit and a goal into a set of distinct ad concepts, each a generated visual paired with a hook, primary text, a headline, and a call to action, sized for the platform you are running it on.

Built for

  • Small marketing teams without a studio
  • DTC brands testing more than one angle
  • Agencies running several brands at once

Anatomy of a concept

One concept, every part labeled.

This is a real concept from Ember & Oak's sample set, not a mockup. Everything in it came from the brand kit and the angle Hookmill chose to test.

Angle: freshness

Roasted the morning it ships.

Most beans sit in a warehouse for weeks. Ours are roasted to order and out the door within 24 hours, so the bag on your counter is days from the roaster, not months.

  • Hook

The line the concept is testing, one short sentence pulled from a specific angle, not a generic tagline.

  • Primary text

One or two sentences that back the hook with something true about the product, taken straight from the brand kit.

  • On-brand visual

Generated to match the brand's colors and this concept specifically, not pulled from a stock library.

  • Headline and CTA

The link strip a platform actually renders: a short headline plus the exact action you want someone to take.

  • What it tests

A plain label naming the one thing this concept is testing, angle, emotion, or offer, so a result is easy to read later.

The workflow

Brand kit, then goal, then a set of distinct concepts.

Set the brand once. After that, every new batch starts from what you already told Hookmill and only asks what changes: the goal, the platform, and how many concepts you want.

Brand kit

Product, product truths, audience, voice, and two colors. Set once, reused every time.

Goal

A goal such as conversions or sign-ups, a platform, and how many concepts to generate.

Distinct concepts

A set that argues genuinely different things, already sized and labeled with what it tests.

Sizing

Every platform, real sizes.

Concepts are not stretched to fit after the fact. Each one is laid out at the exact pixel size the platform actually serves.

Distinctness

Distinct angles, not ten clones.

A concept set is only useful if the concepts actually disagree with each other. Hookmill reasons about a set together, not one concept at a time, so each one argues a different angle, aims at a different emotion, or leads with a different offer.

That is what makes a result readable afterward. When one concept outperforms the rest, the test label tells you why, not just that it did.

Angle

A different argument

Freshness, ritual, or a straightforward offer. Each concept leads with a distinct reason to care.

Emotion

A different feeling

Confidence, relief, calm, curiosity. The tone shifts on purpose, not by accident.

Offer

A different ask

A free trial, a guarantee, free shipping. What you are asking someone to do can change concept to concept.

Guardrail

Truthful by default.

A concept can only claim what you told Hookmill is true. Nothing is invented to make an ad sound more convincing.

  • Claims only what you list as true about the product
  • Never invents statistics, results, or testimonials
  • Respects each platform's ad policies
  • Leaves you as the final editor before anything runs

Every hook and every line of primary text for this brand can only draw on the truths above. Nothing else.

Model-agnostic, on purpose.

The language layer is not wired to one vendor. Hookmill can use the best available model for a given step and move to a newer one later without a rewrite.

If a model key is not configured in a given environment, Hookmill falls back to a clearly labeled placeholder instead of pretending the output is real. You always know whether you are looking at a generated concept or a fallback.
