Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Hookmill Inc. (“Hookmill,” “we,” “us”) handles personal data when you use gethookmill.com and the Hookmill application (together, the “Service”). It applies worldwide and all amounts are in USD.

What we collect

We collect what we need to run the Service and nothing we can think of an excuse to sell:

• Account data. Your name, email address, and a password hash, or your identifier from Google if you sign in that way.
• Brand kits. The brand colors, voice notes, product descriptions, and stated product facts you enter so Hookmill can generate on-brand concepts.
• Generated concepts. The ad concepts, visuals, and copy Hookmill produces for your brands, and any edits you make to them.
• Basic usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps, pages visited) that help us keep the Service running and secure.
• Billing data. On a paid plan, our payment processor holds your card details. We keep only the plan you are on and the billing history, never the full card number.

How we use it

We use your data to run the product: to authenticate you, to generate and store your brand kits and concepts, to bill paid plans, to respond when you contact us, and to keep the Service secure and working. We also use aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns to decide what to build next.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data. There is no data broker relationship, full stop.
• We do not use your brand kits, product facts, or generated concepts to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s.
• We do not show advertising on the Service, so there are no advertising cookies to opt out of.

Who processes data for us

A short list of processors handle parts of the Service on our instructions, under agreements that limit what they can do with your data:

• Vercel. Hosts the application and stores application data.
• An AI model provider, such as OpenAI. Powers concept generation. Your brand data is sent only to produce your concepts, under provider terms that exclude training on your content.
• Resend, where enabled. Sends transactional email, such as password resets and billing receipts.

Your rights

You can export your brand kits and concepts, and delete your account and its data, directly in the app at any time. Deletion removes your data from our primary systems immediately; backups age out on a routine schedule. If you would rather we handle a request by hand, write to hello@gethookmill.com and a person will respond.

Where your data lives

We are a US company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and we process data in the United States. The Service is available worldwide and prices are in USD.

Children

Hookmill is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where the change is significant, email account holders before it takes effect.
