Cookie Policy

A short explanation of the cookies Hookmill sets and how to control them.

Effective date: 2025

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small piece of text a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember something about you between visits, such as whether you are signed in. Some cookies are required for a site to work; others are optional and track behavior for advertising or analytics.

Essential cookies

Hookmill sets one essential cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in as you move around the app. It is required for the Service to function, and it cannot be turned off without also signing you out. We do not use it for anything beyond authentication.

No advertising cookies

Hookmill does not run advertising on its own site, and it does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Nothing here follows you to other sites, and we do not sell or share cookie data with ad networks.

Analytics

If we enable a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand aggregate usage, such as which pages get visited, it will be listed here by name along with what it collects. Until then, no analytics cookies are set.

Controlling cookies

Every modern browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking the essential session cookie will sign you out and keep you from staying logged in to Hookmill, since the Service has no way to work around that. Instructions vary by browser and are available from your browser’s help documentation.

Changes to this policy

If the cookies we use change, we will update this page and the effective date above. A material change will also be noted in the changelog.
